Daily Moments: Casablanca

"Of all the gin joint's in all the towns, in all the world - she walks into mine"
"Here's looking at you kid"
"We'll always have Paris"

(I have a passionate love for old school Hollywood. To me there is nothing like it. And forget all these new, shiny predictable romances, where we wait for Ryan Gosling or whoever to take his shirt off - to me one of the greatest love stories of all time will be Casablanca.

Boggart is heartbreaking and Bergman is so beautiful. And at the end I will always believe she picked the wrong guy! Must Watch)

Casablanca always bug me a little. Why should you sacrifice your love for a higher purpose? Some people find it appealing. For me it doesn't make a lot of sense.

I liked Almasy in English Patient a lot more. He sold his country for a woman.

I guess its like Rick says in the end - "I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world"

Higher purpose perhaps?
